The PEFTOK Korean War Memorial Hall honors both the memory of the officers and men of the Philippine Expeditionary Force to Korea, and the great humanity of the Republic of the Philippines that voluntarily defended the Republic of Korea against communist conquest during the Korean War.
The centerpiece of the PKWMH is the PEFTOK Korean War Museum. This museum is the first museum dedicated to the Philippines' role in the Korean War. Its main attractions are floor large panels on which are written the history of the Philippines involvement in the Korean War. There are also wall panels about the Korean War. Of special interest are the many personal items (uniforms, medals, photos, weapons) donated by Filipino Korean War veterans to the Museum.
The Museum is open Monday to Saturdays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. It is an ideal venue for school field trips and historical tours. The Museum is managed by a team led by its Curator, Commander Mark Condeno, of the Philippine Coast Guard.
The PKWMH also has a Library that is open to the general public and a Multi-Purpose Hall used for special events.
The PKWMH and its Museum exist to extol Philippine greatness.
This country was once Southeast Asia's leading economy; its leading military power and Asia's second largest economy. The Philippines can return to this past greatness if driven by the patriotism of Filipinos everywhere.
The PEFTOK Korean War Memorial Hall is a monument to what once was--and to what can be again.
